THE VETERANS PLAZA

A new Veterans Plaza was built just north of the main monument.

This Veterans Plaza will allow more flexibility for events. 

The project is sponsored by the Post's partner,

Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District.

New Brick Walls

Also, two new brick walls were built bordering the sidewalk

exiting the main monument to the south.

These additional walls will provide approximately 175 new bricks available to mark.

Veterans Memorial Rose Garden

** PROJECT COMPLETED **

The new Rose Garden was provided by and installed

by the Portland Rose Society.

 

On Memorial Day the Royal Rosarians dedicated the new 
Veterans Memorial Rose Garden 
located at the south end of the Veterans Memorial Park.
Royal Rosarians Prime Minister Rick Saturn conducts the Dedication
 
Royal Gardener Dwight Terry and Post #124 Commander Steve Gerber plant the dedication rose.
 
Marika Reiner of the Portland Rose Society executes the ceremonial first watering of the rose.
